This wonderful couple got engaged with a Wylde Flower Diamond® this summer, a moment that crescendoed at the Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary and sparkled after collection with cocktails at the Bath Gin Bar. We can’t think of a bespoke ring design better suited to our patented flower faceted diamond. A gorgeous cluster of flowers and leaves cover the shoulders on either side of the claw setting, with a delicate a sweet little yellow gold bee to one side. This subtly asymmetric piece was the fruit of much careful and loving thought by our groom-to-be, and the perfect dream ring for his beautiful fiancé. Here is the story of their engagement:
“We got engaged in the New Forest, on Good Friday. I didn’t have the ring at the time, but I had had a meeting with India and all the designs were ready, I just wanted Issy’s approval! Originally, I was going to propose on the Sunday as we I had booked dinner at the Cambium restaurant in Careys Manor for afters. So, on the Friday evening after we had arrived at the New Forest, and checked in etc, we went to a Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary to take a few photos. The location was perfect, in the middle of the forest, on a platform overlooking the hillside where a herd of deer were grazing just meters away. As soon as there was a quiet moment, I popped the question. Given I had no ring to present, I had prepared a prop; a small silver photo frame which came with glitter inside, with the words ‘Me + You, just us two’ on the bottom. I had also opened up the back and added a selection of fancy dress style diamond rings inside the frame to really get the message across! And of course she said yes, so we celebrated with fish and chips! We did still celebrate properly as planned on the Sunday.
The experience with India was amazing, originally I only had a basic idea of what I was looking for and had come to get an idea of what was possible and estimate for a price. But she was so knowledgeable and reassuring that before I knew it we were already sketching out the initial ideas, planning how I would propose, and when Issy could come in and see the designs! The designs were intended to be a surprise, but of course, I was so excited after proposing that I told Issy everything and showed her all the designs. Throughout all the meetings, she guided us in what would look and feel best and provided her advice, generally making us feel very comfortable and re-assured about the whole process. We were so happy with India that we are already planning on coming back to have a wedding ring designed for Issy in the same style as the engagement ring!”
“After 4 weeks (or an eternity to Issy) we collected the ring, it looked even more amazing than we had imagined! Then, we went off to celebrate at the Gin Bar knowing we both enjoy a good G&T. To our surprise we found a Wylde Flower cocktail on the menu, which seemed only fitting considering Issy’s diamond is also a Wylde Flower. It’s a gorgeous cocktail, although of course not quite as spectacular as the diamond!”
