It’s always a delight for Nicholas and his team to welcome back a valued customer and add to their collection of Wylde jewellery with new commissions.
Previous meetings and work undertaken allow us to understand and appreciate the individual’s particular tastes and desires; enabling the cherished items we produce to be absolutely perfect for that person.
A great example of this is two sumptuous creations that were recently produced for Mrs Priscilla Bishop, a customer that has been receiving the ‘Wylde Effect’ for 25 years!
Priscilla commissioned a ruby, sapphire and diamond set dress ring in the form of a concave dish head of 18ct yellow gold with graduated round cut stones bezel set and spilling out of the dish. All set onto a yellow metal shank with even D shaped profile.
To compliment this ring were a pair of ruby, sapphire and diamond drop earrings each consisting of a 18ct yellow gold circular concave disc with a central round brilliant cut diamond, attached to a middle wave bar section with an array of multi-coloured gemstones set either side of the bar with a larger concaved cut out disc suspended at the base.
The final results on both creations were certainly spectacular as Priscilla agreed…
Priscilla commented: “Nicholas’ commissioned designs for me over the last 25 years have always been what, to me, is the finest of creative art. His style is modern yet timeless.
These particular earrings and ring were original designs inspired by the Phoenix collection and developed to suit my own taste and personality. Nicholas’ attention to detail in his drawings and then the selection of the stones, coupled with the exquisite workmanship of the maker, means that the finished articles are always outstanding examples of modern jewellery.
And no one paid me to say that either (laughs)! I have always felt that these pieces properly belong in museum cabinets once I am no longer here to wear them.”
