The lucky winner of our Wylde at Heart Valentine competition returned to the Bath store recently to collect the special bespoke ring we made for her as part of the prize package.
Designed to reflect the iconic ‘mod target’ symbol of the 1960s, Diane was thrilled with the result and commented:
“I was a bit nervous about winning such a fantastic prize as I have never owned a piece of valuable jewellery before, let alone had a bespoke piece made especially for me.
However, Nicholas soon put me at ease and offered to show me some pieces already made from the shop. Jewellery designer Jo and I discussed birthstones, gold tones, ring shapes and sizes and once I had some ideas she was drawing out the planned ring and designing it right there before me! Clearly she had a good listening ear and she started to build a picture of me and my lifestyle, and she knew what type of ring I would like.
Nicholas came back to discuss the settings, gold tones etc and even though time seemed to go quickly as we were so absorbed, I realised that they had spent a long time with me ensuring everything was just right.
After a few weeks, and with mounting excitement, I went to collect my ring. Oh my goodness, what an experience! Nicholas presented me with a beautiful box, which was tied with ribbon and he slowly opened it up to reveal the most beautiful, exquisite piece of glittering shiny jewellery I’ve ever seen. The colours in the ruby, and blue topaz and the glittering diamonds were amazing.
It is a delicate yet very ornate and pretty piece of artwork that is designed to represent not only my family birthstones, but also my lifestyle, and I shall wear it daily, not just for special occasions.
I cannot thank Nicholas enough, not only for the wonderful prize but also for making me feel so special and for treating me and my partner as if we had been friends with him for years. It is clear to see that this lovely man has made such a successful business not only from the skilled jewellery he and his staff present but also from the wonderful way he is with people and the kind heartedness he shows to everyone around him.”
