Manufacturers’ Five Year Guarantee
This guarantee is the foundation for a long lasting relationship with you, our customer. (We recommend that you bring your jewellery in at least once a year to be checked for signs of any wear and tear; so we can pre-empt any future problem occurring.)
All jewellery bought from Nicholas Wylde (not including pre-owned) carries a five year guarantee against manufacturing defects. Our jewellery is warranted as being suitable for the purpose for which it is designed under fair wear and tear. Our liability under this warranty will be limited to firstly repairing the item free of charge and if this is not possible, a replacement of the item of jewellery. Please be advised that our guarantee DOES NOT cover accidental damage, incidental damage, normal wear and tear, theft, accidental loss, or any damage that our manufacturing professionals deem is not due to craftsmanship related issues. If the piece has been altered in any way, our warranty no longer covers the item unless the alterations have been completed by Nicholas Wylde.
The five year warranty only covers the original owner of the piece and is not transferable.
Pre-owned Jewellery Guarantee
All pre-owned jewellery brought from Nicholas Wylde carries a 12 month guarantee. Please be advised that this guarantee DOES NOT cover accidental damage, incidental damage, further normal wear and tear, theft or accidental loss. If there is a problem with an item, we will carry out a free repair and then offer a further one year repair guarantee. See below for terms set out under our repair guarantee. The pre-owned jewellery guarantee only covers the original owner of the piece and is not transferable.
Caring for your jewellery
To help keep your jewellery in excellent condition we recommend that you have items cleaned by us (at least once a year). This will allow us to check for signs of wear and tear or any damage, and give advice should a repair be required so that more serious consequences can be avoided.
Using our repair service will ensure your jewellery is in safe hands and being cared for by our exceptional team of skilled craftsmen.
All our jewellery repairs are accompanied by a 12 month guarantee. Unless it has been agreed with the customer to carry out repair work on the understanding that no guarantee can be given after we have carried out the repair work.
The repair guarantee covers only the repair carried out on the item of jewellery as described on the receipt when taken in. Please be advised that this guarantee DOES NOT cover anything adjacent to the repair unless our manufacturing professionals deem it is due to craftsmanship related issues. If the item has been worked on other than by Nicholas Wylde over the 12 months, the guarantee becomes void.

Exchange, Credit note and Refunds*
On purchasing an item of jewellery from Nicholas Wylde and if the item is returned within 30 days of purchase showing no evidence of wear or tear, we will offer a full exchange or gift voucher/credit note for the full amount which will have no expiry date. We DO NOT offer a refund unless the item is deemed unfit to wear through a manufacturing fault or an item cannot be repaired.
*We do not offer an exchange, credit note or refund on any pre-owned items of jewellery.
All deposits that are placed with Nicholas Wylde are non-refundable. A deposit can be transferred to another item of jewellery or exchanged for a gift voucher that will have no expiry date.
Lifetime free cleaning
Any item purchased from Nicholas Wylde comes with a free lifetime cleaning service. We recommend you bring the item in (at least once a year) so we can make it gleam and sparkle as if new. This also allows us to check over the item for you. This service can normally be carried out while you wait or within an hour.
Any item purchased from Nicholas Wylde over £1,000 comes with a free valuation which includes a detailed description and photograph.
We offer a 25% discount off our normal valuation charge to revalue items purchased from us. We recommend revaluing items every three years and to carry out a revaluation, an item will need to be examined and supported by a copy of the last valuation.
At Nicholas Wylde we strive to give the best possible service and we would prefer any client to come and talk to us if they have any issue with a product or service from Nicholas Wylde. We suggest booking an appointment with the shop manager should a problem arise.
