Towards the end of last year, we held special in store talks and displays on the wonderful world of pearls and ran a competition up until Christmas inviting people to guess the amount of pearls contained in a glass.
We had two such pearl-laden glasses – one in Bath and one in Bristol – and the entrant with the nearest number to the actual amount of pearls would emerge victorious, winning a pearl piece of jewellery with an incredible £500 value!
Our Bristol competition was won by Joanna (above) who selected a gorgeous pair of pearl earrings from our recently-launched ‘Perla’ Collection and in Bath, the prize of two stud pearl earrings went to Karen (pictured below with Nicholas).
Joanna wrote to us:
“A week before Christmas I was teaching Sunday school in my local church and we were doing the story of the Precious Pearl and the merchant who sold ALL he had to buy the most beautiful pearl. On Christmas Eve when I got the email from Nicholas Wylde to say I had won the “guess the pearl” competition I was so shocked and what a lovely Christmas surprise it was. My sons and husband all came with me for the fun experience of choosing my prize. We were treated like royalty and I had the pleasure of trying on so many beautiful pieces of jewellery, mostly hand designed by Nicholas Wylde for his new pearl collection ‘Perla’. I finally decided on a gorgeous elegant pair of gold and pearl earrings. Champagne cork popped across the room as we all celebrated the special moment. Thank you so much!’
And Karen commented:
“Many thanks for the fabulous experience of not only being the winner but also of the whole event from starting at Clifton shop and the information about pearls and hospitality on the evening to receiving the winner email on Christmas Eve . Then coming into the shop to choose the prize, and picking the Valentine winner! It is a moment I will truly remember.”
