A great example of this is the work we recently did for Ms Sian Walker-McAllister, resulting in a gorgeous perdiot 3-stone pendant in yellow gold in a rubover setting.

Picture 1 shows the collection of old jewellery which is first melted down to produce the rod of gold you can see in picture 2. Claudia, one of our highly-skilled in-house designers, then worked closely with the customer to ensure the design is absolutely perfect, arranging metals and gems as seen in pictures 3 and 4.

Finally, the completed pendant is revealed in all its glory in picture 5.  Sian wrote to us:“Having inherited some old jewellery and boxed some older pieces I no longer wear, I approached  Nicholas Wylde for advice on designing something special and new, using the inherited pieces.

Claudia spent time getting to know me and understanding the style of jewellery I prefer to wear now and produced some amazing designs. My first piece is a beautiful gold and peridot pendant and I have now commissioned a new design for some earrings to match – a bangle to follow! The whole experience of working in partnership with Claudia as designer was special and the beautiful pendant holds special memories of pieces from the past as well as being such a pleasure to wear today.”
