Some of our proudest moments at Wylde Jewellers are when we know we have played a significant part in marking more than one special moment in our clients’ lives – often spanning across decades!
We were delighted recently to welcome Georgina and Stephen back into our store, where they purchased a beautiful ‘honeycomb’ diamond ring to sit alongside a bespoke ring that she had originally made from Wylde’s 30 years previously! Georgina tells us her story below…
“30 years ago, Nicholas Wylde was recommended to us by a close friend and from the first time we entered the shop in Bath, he has always exceeded our expectations.
“The first time Stephen and I met Nicholas, we had only been dating a few months and Stephen wanted to buy me a ring, I couldn’t find anything I liked in ‘run-of-the-mill’ shops so we asked Nicholas for a large ring to be made in a very strange combination of gold and amber. We loved his design and when the ring was made, I wore it every day for many years; there was never a day passed where someone didn’t ask to see the ring!
“A few years later after Stephen proposed to me, we knew exactly where we wanted to purchase our rings. Stephen initially proposed with an expandable £20 ring in the romantic city of Paris… as soon as we got home we booked a consultation with Nicholas to have our engagement ring and wedding rings made. We married at Whatley Manor on 4th July 1998, and some years later we were blessed with two children. Shortly after we moved to Yorkshire and have been there for 22 years.
“To celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary last week we decided to return to Whatley Manor for an evening (having not been there in all that time) which was spectacular. We also decided to head into Bath and visited Wylde Jewellers as my husband wished to buy another ring for me to mark our anniversary! We sat with the wonderful Pav who was so amazing and understood exactly what we were looking for, and then we couldn’t believe our eyes to see Nicholas there too – it made the day so extra special! Nicholas recommended the diamond and white gold ring: wow, what another masterpiece! It is exquisite.
