Supporting the children’s charity Dreamflight, Nicholas attended a special Pearl Ball auction in London at the end of June and offered two wonderful items for the auction, including a gorgeous pearl necklace complete with a Wylde Flower Diamond® and a value of £2,000!
Overall, the event raised a superb £55,000 for the charity and the lucky winner of the Wylde Flower Diamond® pendant was Mrs Debbie Cassells Smith, who said: “I just love it – it’s a sensational piece of jewellery!” Nicholas was very pleased that his Wylde Flower Diamond® pendant raised good money for the charity and will be worn by someone who loves beautiful jewellery.
Also at the event and also raising funds, guests were invited to guess the number of pearls in a glass and Mr Aidan Healey emerged the winner with his guess of 750 (there were 753 pearls in the glass).
Dreamflight is a registered UK charity that changes young lives through taking children with a serious illness or disability on the holiday of a lifetime.
Once a year, 192 deserving children from all over the UK, accompanied by a team of medical carers, board a chartered Boeing 747 and head to Florida to spend 10 magical days of fun and excitement. Many children could not undertake such a trip without the support of the army of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and non-medical volunteers who care for the children 24 hours a day.
