Description
Our 18ct white gold, sapphire stud earrings are exclusive to Wylde Jewellers and are a part of our Classic Colour collection.
The rubover-set sapphires weigh 0.60ct in total, and are top-quality gems with beautifully intense blue colour.
In many cultures, sapphires have been associated with a variety of mythological and spiritual meanings. In ancient Greece and Rome, sapphires were associated with the god Apollo, who was said to have worn a sapphire as a symbol of his power and wisdom. Through the Middle Ages, sapphires were believed to have healing powers and were often used to treat eye infections and other ailments. Their typical blue colour being often associated with loyalty and fidelity, sapphires were believed to symbolise truth, sincerity, and faithfulness.
In addition to their mythological and spiritual meanings, sapphires have long been prized for their beauty and durability. They are a popular choice for birthstone jewellery for the month of September.
These earrings are also available in yellow gold and alternative precious metals with any size stone – please contact us for further information.
